Mission

KpVV (Transport Knowledge Resource Centre) supports all professionals in the various decentral tiers of government involved in the development and implementation of traffic and transport policy. KpVV develops and disseminates knowledge and expertise in this specific field.

Targetgroups

KpVV supports all professionals working in various decentralized governments involved in developing and implementing traffic and transport policy. These professionals are representing municipalities, provinces, cities, waterboards or other governmental organizations.

Our objectives are ambitious:

• To support decentralized governments in developing and improving regional or local traffic and transport policy.
• To improve competence of decentralized governments and their staff.
• To provide municipalities, provinces and other governmental organizations with knowledge and expertise, either developed by KpVV or by other (intern)national knowledge centers and institutions.
• To act as an intermediate organization between various parties in order to facilitate knowledge transfer.

KpVV provides up-to-date, reliable and practical knowledge, with special emphasis on five topics:

• Collective Transportation
• Cycling
• Sustainable Mobility
• Spatial Development
• Human Behaviour.

This website provides up-to date and reliable knowledge about traffic and transport. We publish reports, brochures and other publications. You can find them, along with those from other organisations, on our website. Some of the publications are translated into English, for instance on:

• mobility management
• bicycle policy.
